Hi! My name is Jessika Mathurin. I’m a Canadian-American actor.

I guess it all started growing up in the countryside as an only child. With plenty of time and space to fill, I’d spend countless hours watching movies - obsessively rewinding and replaying scenes - to then mimic and perform them later, either solo or with whichever friends were willing to join the troupe, for all the surrounding adults. Suffice it to say, those adults unknowingly became some of my earliest character studies.

With a seemingly engrained penchant for daydreaming and escapism - I set out to find my place in the world of storytelling through Acting and filmmaking.

I did the things most actors do - school plays, summer programs (NYFA, Tisch, ACTeen), and eventually earned a BFA in Acting from Pace University in New York City.

Professionally, I've appeared in A Gingerbread Christmas (Discovery+), Banned, Transplant (CTV), and SurrealEstate (Syfy). Most notably, I had the opportunity to work on Splitsville (NEON), by Michael Angelo Covino and Kyle Marvin, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

Next, I'll be appearing in the upcoming feature film Karate Ghost, starring Jim Belushi, Bobby Lee, and Tim Rozon, as well as in the upcoming CBS series Einstein, starring Matthew Gray Gubler.

It has been a dream come true to have been able to work alongside people who share similar sensibilities and a love of storytelling, and I’m excited for the stories that are still yet to come.
